License is not transferable between the accounts so far but there are such and similar requests already. I have not seen any official statement about such future possibilities from mikrotik yet.
Is the license paid? Then just keep the chr to be able to reach the licensing server with the correct account and everything will be updated automatically.
Deadline just means when the CHR will check if license is not moved somewhere. All you need is internet at this date, then it will auto-extend.
If there is no text “limited upgrades”, it means the license was Paid when last checked.
I have similar problem, i buy a CHR key, and cant upgrade to last ROS, i tried to Renew licence i put user and password and the window tellme “done” but still see the flag red inside my account and the date not renew.
I have some kind of the same issue with CHR license.
It was registered with free license on the an account.
Now I want to renew license under a new account and it gives me “not permitted error”.
Please advise!
If your trial period ran out (60 days), you can not acquire new trial for the same CHR instance. You can either upgrade to paid license (available for 60days after the end of the trial period) or install a new CHR.
