Cisco Gigabit Switch + RB1100AH = Hopeless?

I’m trying to get ANY port on my RB1100AH to work @ full-duplex gigabit. I have C3750G-24T switches and no amount of workaround will get the two devices working together at gigabit rates.

I have tried:

  1. Hardcoding RB1100 and C3750 both to gigabit
  2. “speed 1000” & “nonegotiate” on C3750
  3. Port1, Port 6, Port 11/12/13 (nothing syncs)
  4. ROS v5.26 & v6.11 (nothing helps)
  5. Different cable (1ft, 3ft, 10ft, 14ft)
  6. Different Cisco Ports (even tried SFP w/ RJ45 output)
  7. Upgrading RB firmware to latest version
  8. Rubbing cheetah blood on the RB
  9. Shrine to Normis
  10. Email to Putin requesting no Latvian annex.

Those 2 usually help me, no idea why its not working for you.

Could the two UBNT picostations I have in my spare parts drawer be counteracting it?

Will throw them away if it helps.

Have you tried:

  1. Speed 1000 and Duplex Full on the cisco (I understand nonegotiate is different matter)?
  2. Using 6.11 on the routerboard and changing advertise to only report 1000 full as the available options?
  3. Triple checked you are setting the same settings at both ends (mikrotik with auto negotiate disabled and set to 1000 / full and the same on the cisco)?

What firmware version are you running on the Cisco?

My network runs a lot of Cisco 3750G (and E’s) and linked to RB1100 series I am yet to find a problem with them syncing up at 1000 full when both set to auto (except one time with a bad cable) and then manually setting it had issues as well as the error count got high as the bad pairs came into action)

Alexander
