Ok, Hopefully I can get some pointers on this situation. I have a 30’ tessco tower installed on the 7th floor of the downtown public parking garage that is seating 3 RB433ah with xr2 radios and 3 140 HPOL 20dbi waveguide sectors, the problem Im having is my VPOL is roughly 20 degrees give or take on the Waveguides so I am clipping the roof pitch of the parking garage as you cannot see the tower until you are roughly 100 yards out from the bldg. I have 2 RB411 Panel CPEs 19dbi R52 radios almost directly under the garage which are feeding my IP cameras for the city. My Signals are roughly -58 to -65 but my ccqs are 25-40%. Dissapointing but rather not suprising as this is a little bit of a tricky situation aligning the panels to squeeze themselves into that little hole that is home to the 20 degree Vpol signal I so badly need. Is there anything I can do to increase my CCQ on these panels? I am running B only on both AP and CPE with all radios on diff channels as to no overlap. North tower on 2412 west on 2442 and east on 2426.
I presume you have a typo on the freqs? You’re using channels 1,6,11 right? (You’re not really using 2426MHz?)
If you’re getting a low CCQ, then the link is suffering from multiple retries. Possibly due to interference. What results do you get if you perform a freq Usage scan?
You are correct, Im using 2412, 2442 and 2462. That was a typo. There is some usage already in those channels but I was under the impression that 1,6 and 11 are the only non-overlapping channels I can use with 3 radios on a single tower running Hpol sectors? I am running B only as my CCQ Sucks even more when I run B/G. It seems that I am really hurting not having true LOS and missing the VPol on the sectors from the CPE location. However, There should be a way to keep this stable considering the signal is in the high 50s to high 60’s but the CCQ just will not jump. The other problem is that this tower is directly above a college housing complex that is home to 12 RB433ah units installed by us previously. Not sure how much that really interferes, but im sure it does not help my situation.
will do. I will post the scans later tonight when I get home. Its rather difficult to email 45’ in the air in a bucket truck lol. Yes, It might be possible to tweak the indoor units to carve around the tower. Thanks ron.
