Client-pseudobridge w/DHCP host

We’re experimenting w/ the handy new client-pseudobridge option and have found a little mystery.

Clients attempting to obtain DHCP addresses from the ISC DHCP server don’t seem to be able to properly complete the transaction. Oddly enough, experiments using the (unknown provenance) DHCP server included w/a common off-the-shelf router (WRT54G) end up with successful negotiations for addresses.

Anybody else have this experience?

Not that this will help you out here, but a couple years ago I had the precise same thing happen using a linksys wet-11. isc dhcp would not work, but udhcpd would.

I didn’t have the time then to look too deep into it, and simply used udhcpd for the project. Maybe I’ll look deeply into it with routeros. We have a use for client-pseudobridge but we wouldn’t be running dhcp over it, so who knows.
