I have a WAR4 Metro that runs as a 900MHz AP using StarOS with an XR9. Connected to this, I have several RB112’s as client devices and several WAR4 Metro’s as cascading AP’s. These were running fine until we needed to go to x4 cloaking (5MHz channel) mode to avoid some local interference. The StarOS stuff all connects as it should and is reliable. However, the StarOS clients will not connect and stay connected. Using WinBox, I can scan and find the AP. The clients then try to connect, but disconnect after 2 sec. according to the logs. Has anyone had any success using cloaking (narrow channels) between the two operating systems?
This is something I have been wondering myself, if anyone knows if 5MHz/10Mhz channel sizes works between StarOS and RouterOS speak up.
Cheers
The last time I tested (a year or so ago), they would not connect to each other, but Ubiquiti products, (NS2’s, LS2’s and PS2’s) would connect to either one of them in cloaking mode. Go figure.
