I know that you can use a backup image to clone a Routerboard to a replacement board if they are the same model.
My question is, will this work between an RB750 and an RB750G? Or are there differences other than the hardware speed of the ports that would make this fail?
mostly this should work, but check nevertheless
I use that and it is working, but be careful - ether1 doesn’t belong to switch on RB750 and it does on RB750G! That’s ok if, for example, ether1 is used as WAN interface and ether2-5 as LAN (switched), but it would be problem if, for example, ether5 is used as WAN and ether1-4 as LAN.
