I have a fully functional network with approx. 15-25 users connected to each sector 24/7. I use 120 dgs 5 GHz dual pol. antennas and RB912UAG-5HPnD RBs. All clients use RB-SXT Lite5 and other SXT variants. Distances are between 100m and 2.5 km and all signal levels are under -70 dBm.
Say that I want to switch to 11ac. Is that possible w/o having to change all client modules? How’s interoperability between 11ac AP and 11n client working? Say that I have 10 clients connected with RB-SXT Lite5 and 10 with RB-SXT 5 ac.
Last but not least, I’m using 40 MHz channel width and have speeds up to 100 Mbps UDP from AP to client. If I decide to put six 60 dgs instead of three 120 dgs sectors now but narrow the channel to 20 MHz (to occupy the same bandwidth), will I be able to achieve similar speeds with 11ac?
