cold spare AP system without radios

All,

I have multiple APs that I would like to have a ‘cold spare’ available. For example I have a RB133 with 2 radios, and another in service with 3 radios. I would like to have a spare 133 board and configuration and extra radios on hand so a tech could replace a system in my absence. The problem is that I can’t have a configuration that works, when I don’t know exactly which radios (MAC specific) will be used in the backup configuration.

Let me restate what I want to do: I have 3 unique APs with RB133 and want to keep 1 spare RB133 and 3 spare radios. In the event of failure (and I’m gone), I need an easy way for a technician to take the spare equipment and put it in place as any one of the 3 systems.

Thanks for everyone’s input,
marshall

I would love to know this too. I asked at the MUM and they replied to me, no. Not yet anyways.

Build a configuration script for each of the locations. Then he can either run the script manually or put it on via Netinstall.
