Hi all,
i have one problem, i have several CF (From 1 2 or 3 years ago), all had mikrotik level 4 ver 2.9, i reinstall the software with any version, 3.14, 3,24, 3.30 and so on, i take the exported key to request my key from Mikrotik site, Mikrotik shows “Key found…”, and moved to some virtual folder…but when i search the key in the folder, the soft ID is different and the key in my router doen´t work.
I have made several times this procedure in past sucsesfully, i don´t understand wath is happening.

Any help?

Which 2.9.x version?

How are you reinstalling the new version?

i just format the CF and reinstall some 3.x with netinstall.

I am not sure how you are ‘formatting’ but if you do this with something like FDISK or SuperDISK, you will get a new Software ID each time you format and the license is no longer usable.

I think a Netinstall format saves the Software_ID.

Probably low level vs high level format.
