i have a board that runs with a 64mb compact flash card. i did change the ip of the ether1 port and i cant enter the board and more either by the ether port or by serial cable. if i try to use winbox i can see the mac id and ip when i press the browse button but can not access the board.
what can this problem be and how do we solve this one
You have to be more specific when you say you cant access the board. What precisely do you mean?
Even if you dont have the correct ip address configured on your computer or router, you can access your board with its mac address when you click the browse button in winbox.
Please be more specific about not being able to access the board.

i cant use the mac address when i find it by browsing for it in the winbox nor the ip address that comes with it.
the lights at the ethernet port flashes alright indicating that the port is working well but i cant enter the board to do any advance settings
What does it say? What error message does it give?
We use similar boards, if the device is having some issues and you’re able to do so, I would recommend reflashing the card using the Netinstall app from
http://www.mikrotik.com/download.html (see it on the right hand side column)
This will retain the boards licence and reinstall routerOS for you.
