Company networking on 48 port switch

Hi!
We are having 4 pieces of cisco 2960 switch at my work. This 4 swtch is more than 8 years old, not that fast, not that good. A week ago one of them is dead…

My plan to replace this expensive 4 switch, with 4 of https://mikrotik.com/product/crs354_48g_4splus2qplusrm this switches.

Is it a good idea? Its just a simple networking, with some vlan. I prefer this because of the 48 gb ports, and I would like to connect them to each other…

My question is, whats the best solution to connect this 4 switch together? Should I use the 40 GB QSFP ports, or the SPF+ ports?
Or simple just link them with ETH?
Because need the 4x48 ports for the offices.

Should I use the 40 GB QSFP ports, or the SPF+ ports?

Depends on the traffic being forwarded from switch to switch…
If 10Gbps is enough for you then use SFP+ ports…

So I can use SPF+ modules on each switch and connect the switches together with one or two cables, right?

Yes…
Personally i would use a star topology instead of connecting one switch after the other…

Any benefit of star topology versus ring topology (if properly configured that is)?
