I was interested in buying RB960PGS / RouterBoard hEX PoE for my home. At home I have Vodafone FTTH 1000 with connectivity via Gbic Huawei H87MMA5671A2 I wanted to know if it was possible to use this router. If it is therefore compatible with the Huawei H87MMA5671A2 gbic and you can use it on a Vodafone network.
It should work but pay attention: I am in your same conditions (Vodafone ITA FTTH 1Gbps) except for the mikrotik (mine is RB760iGS). If you connect mikrotik as primary router, download speed decreases from 850Mbps to 250Mbps, more or less…no change in upload speed. If, intstead, I use the vodafone station as primary router, no issues in download speed. I think that is a trick by vodafone, in order to force you using their device.
