This tread placed in the routerboard forum as well but may be it should be more in this section.
I have a WRAP board with atheros AR5212 radio and a rb532 board with same radiocard working in a WDS link as one big bridge. nstream mode on. WRAP as AP in remote, rb as station WDS local.
After updating both units to the latest .42 firmware the link became very un-stable. It dropped in and out (seen on the ´local´ side, the rb532 unit)
I tried several things because this was my backhaul feed into my wireless WISP network. Nothing worked so I was pretty desparate!
The log showed disconnections due extensive data loss and connected followed by a direct disconnection again. This in a endless loop.
So I started playing with the local unit. Enabled/disabled all settings that might have something to do with it.
It was when I disabled the compression in the wireless that the link suddenly stayed up! Checked the other unit and compression was still enabled here which showes it was always there.
Before, with the old v.37 firmware the link stayed up for days with compression enabled on both AP and station. After the update the compression doesn´t work any more.
I can repeat the problem so it looks to me compression is the problem here in the new firmware.
Can anybody confirm this or has the same problems?
Can MT shine a light on this issue?
thanks.
