compression=yes in ppp profile

Hi folks!

hoping you are doing well! I’m struggling on trying to use the compression=yes settins while setin up a ptp between 2 mikrotik router.

I tried this using pptp, l2tp and pppoe without detecting any improvement..
My open questions are :

  1. under ppp profile , compression=yes what willreally do?

  2. is it available for all kind of ptp or just for a subset of them?

  3. how can I enable successfully it?

  4. is this compression related to MPPC ?

My test are based on trying to send a file using the ptp and to verify the difference beteween having compressed = yes or comrpessed = no.

I also tried it enabling or disabling use-encryption. without any success.


The RoS used for test is 6.1

please let support me clarify this.
