Compression?

Is there any layer in a L2TP over IPsec connection where a MikroTik router supports compression?
(I think compression can be negotiated both in the PPP layer used by L2TP and in the IPsec transport
that is below it, but I don’t see it mentioned anywhere in the documentation)

I would like to cut down the amount of data transferred for a VPN for very compressible formats like HTML
and Postscript.

Thanks, it is apparently on by default but there just isn’t any compression protocol that the
MikroTik and the Cisco on the other end can agree on. I remember this situation from trying to
setup a compressed PPP connection from Linux in the past, it apparently has not changed.
