I hope someone can assist with this.. I have a Mikrotik RB493G that was configured for me. It is using the Hotspot feature with RADIUS on the same box. Currently user have difficulties logging in because the router log continuously reads “RADIUS server is not responding”. I look at the running profile and the SPI process consumes up to 80% of the CPU utilization.
The site has about 20 users only.
Apart from ripping the Mikrotik out and replacing it with something else (unknown), I am at a loss. I search for answers and cannot find anything or any one that can explain why and how to fix the problem.
What is the SPI process? What does it do? How do you resolve high usage? Is it related to RADIUS errors?
Any assistance would be nice..
