Hello everybody,
I want to achieve the following set up (in a large private house):
Ethernet from ISP goes into RB750 router (WAN port), which should do NAT and DHCP for the internal LAN.
Connected to the LAN ports are two RB951Ui-2HnD that serve purely as wireless Access Points. Both APs have static IPs (192.168.88.2 and 88.3), have identical SSID and security, but work on different channels.
Is it right that I need not change anything beyond the QuickSet page to achieve this? I would be grateful if someone could review my configs (attached).
Can I tweak any wireless interface settings to increase coverage (TX-power, antenna-gain ?).
Also two more questions:
Remote config: Is there a way to be able to access all the devices (for monitoring and troubleshooting) remotely over the internet? That is, allow access to WebFig and/or WinBox thru the WAN port of RB750?
Export/import: Since I have two almost identically configured devices (AP’s) , I would like to export the configuration from one to the other. So far I am having trouble during the import process for one of the following reasons:
- The export script has a hardcoded MAC address
- The import fails because device/pool/interface/etc. already exists
- The import fails because my session gets disconnected (probably after changing the IP address).
Would be grateful for any hints and useful links.
