Configure 450 router to be a switch

Hello,

  • I have a router witch is configured with four networks:

LAN: 10.0.0.0/24
VLAN1: 10.1.1.0/24
VLAN2: 10.2.1.0/24
VLAN3: 10.3.1.0/24

I have eth1 configured as WAN.

So eth2, eth3, eth4, eth5 are all the ports i have to connect equipment.

  • Want to extend the ports so i have atleast 5 more ports - so want to put a TP cable between the router 450 to another 450 router - and the other 450 router i only want it to be configured as a switch - switching all the LAN/VLAN tags.

  • Anyone got an example configuration on how to do this?

  • Attaching image to describe it also.

For the RB450 that you want to behave as a switch just make sure that Ether2-5 have Ether 1 set as master and it should provide layer 2 switching.
