configure qos for voip phone

hi

i am about to switch from a billion router to routeros. most of the things i need to be able to do i am confident i can. however i can’t find out how to do qos.

i have a siemens gigaset a580ip ip phone that will be plugged into the router with ip 192.168.1.50. how do i setup qos in routeros to prioritize voip traffic from this device?

You can also google some peoples scripts/configs and theres a current VOIP sticky in RouterOS Community Support [General] for some helpful tips.

It pretty much comes down to mangling whatever traffic comes in via firewall rules as what importance it has to you, then using different priorities or types of queues to the traffic.
