Hello everyone,
I’ve been trying to establish a wifi network in my lab, so I’ve bought RB950Ui-2HnD. Our computers in lab are connected to academic network and have local IP addresses. We access internet via proxy server in academic network. (In order to access internet, we must enter proxy server address on our computers/tablets/phones.) I’ve connected RB950Ui-2HnD to academic network and used Home AP quicksetting, then I have connected devices to my router (RB950Ui-2HnD). Internet works only when I enter manualy proxy server address in devices. I would like to bypass manualy adding proxy address in every new device I connect to my lab network. In other words, I would like to configure my router so everyone new, who connects to my network, doesn’t need to manualy enter proxy address. Is it possible to make?
Network topology is something like this
(Internet) <—> [Academic network + proxy server] <-----> {My lab network}
One ethernet cable connects academic network socket and my router on port 1 (ether1), another ethernet cable connects my desktop computer and router on port 2 (ether2). Other devices are connected wirelessly to my router. IP addresses can be seen on attached photo.
As proxy server I use this “proxy.amres.ac.rs”. Also, I can use a address to automatic configuration script on http://wpad.ac.rs/wpad.dat
I’ve found that IP addresses of proxy servers are 147.91.1.41-147.91.1.45
I’ve tried some tutorials with setting transparent proxy, parent proxy, Auto Proxy Config, but no results.
How to configure my router?
Thanks
