Configure Wireless card

Need help configuring wireless card… I have a RB400 with a 2.4GHz wireless card in one of the mini pci slots. My goal is to pass udp packets from ether1 to wlan1 by using NAT rules. My problem is I’m not sure what mode the wlan card should be in (bridge, station, wds slave, etc) in order to communicate with an existing 802.11b network.

Can anyone help?
Are there any documents available to assist with configuring the wireless interface?

what do you mean by “existing 802.11b network”? is there an access point nearby? if yes, you need to be the station to connect to that access point.

What I mean by existing 802.11b network is currently there is an exiting wireless peer-to-peer network setup. I want to add the mikroTik router to the network to redirect traffic, using NAT rules, to one of the LAN ports on the router if something happens to one of the wireless node.
