Configuring a wireless router with RB493AH

Hello, I have set up my RB493AH and able to connect to the internet by setting up my ether1 as the gateway and ether2 as the LAN. Now I am trying to set up wireless connection with this router and have done the following:

  1. Enable the wireless interface
  2. Set up the wireless interface to to be DHCP server
    3)Set up ehter1 as the gateway using DHCP client
  3. Wireless mode : AP bridge
  4. Band 2.4 b/g
  5. set up the SSID.

I am not able to see my SSID from my wireless laptop, there are certain times I see it but it has a very, very low signal strength even though it is very close to my laptop. Can someone let me know what the issue can be? Thank you.

Did you connect an antenna to the wireless card on the RB493AH?

Hi, I was able to get the wlan to work and I am able to connect through it. My only concern is that the signal is quite weak even though the router in in the next room. Any suggestions? Thank you.
