Configuring AP gets wrong

Hello,

I got RBwAPG-5HacT2HnD) Mikrotik wAP ac access point to be connected to Linksys EA6700 router. Router has disabled wifi broadcasting as that shall be done through Mikrotik.

As I have read Microtik users manual - AP shall work with default configuring settings in Quick Set window what I did.
But - somehow I get stucked. When connecting trough new AP to router I can get to internet but cant get connection to certain LAN devices (wired to router) such as TV or SONOS. I have been playing around with IP addresses etc but no success to connect to all devices. Surprisingly - I can connect to NAS wired in same network.
Than I played around with other Quick Set options and found out that if I set AP with CAP configuration - I get all devices connected and reachable trough new AP! With one exception - CAP disables 5Ghz channel what I do not want to be disabled. And I’m not realy going to manage AP with CAPsMAN so this configuration is somehow wrong for me…

Any Ideas what is wrong with default AP setting in RouterOS? (Home AP Dual). Using latest firmware and winbox.

Set the wAP AP as a wireless/wired switch as explained there.

So, I tried code from topic provided - did not succeed. I get “No internet” when connected to Mikrotik Wifi now. I do not have this AP connected to Mikrotik router.
Shall this code work to any router (Linksys in my case)?

Hi again,

I’m sorry for previous post as I did not everything correct.
It seems that system gets working and connecting.
At present point for some reason I can’t connect to 5Ghz network. 2Ghz seems to be OK.

In the morning I made mistake in setup routine and that leaded to error.
Still I have to sort out why I cant get connection to 5Ghz network.

Update:
I figured out that wlan2 (5Ghz) is not connected to bridge. I added it to bridge1 and at present moment everything seems to be working as I wanted it to work at very beginning.
Question is - why it shall be configured somehow complicated if device is called “Access Point” and it has QuickSet avaible in settings what realy do not work…?
