I am attaching a network diagram for the wireless ISP I am trying to setup.
From what I could learn from different sources (wiki etc.) I am able to ping from AP to Station 1.
I do not know how to configure other things to let my Internet service be accessible to clients at Station1.
I was using BRIDGE mode at Station 1 but then I was able to connect only one client to my AP and the Access List etc also did not seem to work.
I am not getting any help here to configure clients in Station mode.
My basic queries highlight:
- What IP should be given to ether 1 of my AP?
- What IP should be given to ether 1 of Station 1 running station mode?
- What IP should be given to client PC connected to Station 1?
NOTE: Since Bandwidth management and client ID etc. is created on my SERVER all IP pools used for client PC’s should be registered on my Server.
I am having 10.10.1.2…. and so on IP for my clients which have 10.10.1.1 as GATEWAY. These are running on wire line.
I have another IP series registered on my Server 10.10.2.1 and I tried putting it at various places in AP and Wireless Client but it does not seem to work.
This series works for wire line clients
Seeking your help and kind cooperation. I hope a step wise guide would make it easier for many Mikrotik users like me who use Mikrotik just like an AP
