Microtik: SXTsq Lite2
firmware. 6.46.8
Trying to configure Microtik as wireless bridge as per pic. Using quickset mode CPE, set to bridge mode. Bridge setup is set to automatic address acquisition and address source WLAN. I can see the Microtik successfully connects to the customer wifi network, however it won’t pass any traffic. Client PC does not get an IP. Is CPE the right initial setup?
Note this is a template that we will re-use for different customer sites, the customer AP will always be different. I saw an older forum post indicating that mikrotik supports bridging only with mikrotik wifi. Since this customer AP is not microtik, will above method even work or do I need to look at a different setup? If that post is still accurate
Turns out it was working, just not against a Ubiquiti AP, haven’t figured that out yet but assume Ubiquiti is blocking something. Worked fine connecting to iphone as a test.
