Configuring Guest WiFi on cAP ac with internet from hAP ac²

I recently installed FTTH and my provider issued me with a hAP ac² with IP range of 192.168.101.0/24 configured. I have installed an ethernet cable from port2 to my network switch. WiFi has been disabled on the hAP ac² as I have also purchased a cAP ac which is running my 2.4g and 5g AP’s and is connected to the same network switch.

I have not changed much on the configuration on cAP ac, except for:

  • upgraded firmware
  • create new security profiles for 2.4 and 5g AP’s
  • set new admin password

I would like to setup a Virtual AP on the 2.4g wlan with an IP range of 192.168.20.0/24 with DHCP Server on the cAP ac. Since I am new to Mikrotik and RouterOS, I do not want to change too much of the config on the hAP ac² since it includes my ISP config. I have made a backup of the config though.

I have previously tried the guide on Marthur.com but do not get any internet access on the Guest WiFI. I am not able to ping the 192.168.101.1 gateway from the GuestAP nor 8.8.8.8.

Please help.
