Confused about TCP States and timeouts in ConnTrack

Hello!

I currently have Connection Tracking turned on and I’ve set the timeouts defaults as recommended on the manual.

Now my doubt is the following:
What does happens when an Established TCP session reaches the end of it’s time out?

Speculation from my part:
Does this means that if I’m downloading a file for a whole day+, the download will stop once it reaches the default 1 day timeout?

I would really appreciate if this could be clarified.
