confusion over PoE on RB951G-2HnD and RB260GS

:Hi all I’m new to this mikrotik world and I’m trying to confirm if the ether1 ports on these two boxes are PoE in or out.

I’m asking as I’ve tested them against my netgear PoE switch and a stand a long injector and I can’t seem to get eithere of them to power up. The switch/injector happily power another PoE AP I have from solwise and edimax so I know they work.

Am I doing something wrong ?

Many Thanks

both of devices use low voltage poe-in on ether1. in range from 12V to 28V

Ok so both my netgear switch and the standalone unit output in that range but neither units powers up , any suggestions ?

It is possible that they are 802.3af PoE switches, but RouterBOARD devices only suport Passive PoE “Over Datalines”. These are different methods of PoE, so it could be that they are not compatible.

you can attempt to use crossover cable.
