I have two apartments. One is on 1st floor and 2nd is on 5th floor.
To drop one of the internet providers I want to connect these apartments to share internet from one to another.
From the attached picture you can see that there are some obstacles: walls/floors.
Don’t need 1gb connection. 50-100mb will work fine.
What’s my options? Should I give Wireless Wire a shot? Anything else you could suggest… not able to have a cable there
Try, to avoid as many obstacles as possible. Use long poles. Move antennas on side of the buildings… If still some obstacles remain try high gain directional 2.4 GHz antenna and shoot through. You can also try to find a place to bounce a reflection. It is much better to find a path for wire than making these uncertain tryouts without any previous experience.
Have you tried PLC (power line communication)?
I am pretty sure it won’t work neither with that long distance and two separate buildings but you can give it a try.
Use the new 1.2G solutions (MIMO) with Qualcomm chip inside if you can.
To use wireless is impossible from appart directly without going to the roof.
Maybe you can find some intermediate points from which you can bridge or “project” the connection to?
Like to the opposite roof and then roof to roof and then go down again?
Or a friendly neighbour as intermediate point?
Wireless Wire Dish won’t work, it needs LOS. If it be only one wall, you could try and it maybe still work
on short distance, but not with the amount of massive walls in your picture.
