Well, not really over Internet as both sites are connected to my multi-hop wireless network.
Basically two branches of a business (each NATted) behind 1 IP need to connect to PCs on other network(s). They can both have their own subnets but shouldn’t be visible by anyone else.
Can I setup a PPPOE server on the one branch and let the client branch MT unit automatically connect to it. If so, will they be able to connect through to any other PC on each network?
Or any other way, as long as I do not have to configure each PC on the network.
So the ‘Master’ network MT has WiFi IP of 10.1.6.21/24 and LAN IP of 10.0.0.4/24 but the 10.0.0.0/24 should be NATTED
The ‘Slave’ network MT has WiFi ip of 10.1.5.21/24 and LAN IP of ? must it be in same range as master network? They also need to be NATted.
Then I setup PPTP server on Master MT
When I setup PPTPclient on slave MT, where do I tell it to give LAN IPs from DHCP server 10.0.0.1 on master network’s side?
As a first step you should decide if you want (or need) both networks to operate as one broadcast domain (that is: bridged to each other) or as separate broadcast domains (then it will be routing between the networks). Your goals and requirements are not clear to me from what you wrote so far, so could you describe them in more detail?
Thanks for the help, but I set it up according to the manual to use with EoIP and it works beautifully. Even DHCP & users log into remote Windows domain as if sitting there.
