Connect MT client to a public Internet with non mikrotik AP

Ok this is the case,

I have a client antenna (routerboard 1=lan 1=minipci) I made a scan of available networks and I am able to make the wireless to connect to the AP of the ISP but i can’t receive the IP address to my Pc or the mikrotik

On interface Mikrotik
R Bridge
R Ether1
R Wlan1

On bridge
bridge1 ports ether1===bridge1
WlAN1===bridge1

I made the masquerade config and I can’t make the wireless connection to sent IP address to my PC

I have this setup
Antenna UTP cable come to the PoE injector and the data cable goes to my lan card of my computer

I don’t understand what is wrong on this setup.

Talk to the ISP

Well I have a Dell Laptop and my laptop can connect to that SSID of my ISP and navigate internet very well…

What I need to to do is connect my MT antenna to that ISP wireless connection and share that internet access with 2 more computers at home using Dlink router.
On the winbox i perform scan and when i select my ISP SSID of the list i press connect, i can see the setting of the wireless change to match with ISP and at the bottom i can see the message connected to ESS
on interface i see the success connectivity of the wireless indicated with R

What is happen is like the data received on wireless is not passing trought or to the Ethernet so the router or any computer connected at MT ethernet port is not automaticly receiving the IP address and transparently navigate internet.
My ISP says they don´t set any encryption or security key for that wireless, or mac filtering.. they say any laptop or wireless device can connect to that AP with out problems…

Any comments on what I am doing wrong?

That gives me some more information to work with.

Go to ip dhcp-cl add

add a dhcp client to the wlan interface then enable it and see if that helps.

As you suggest I set a dhcp client to wlan1, i just play around with the 3 settings there and successfully get and Ip from the ISP for the wireless…
now how i make the data pass trough the wlan to the ether1 and transparently navigate on my computers…
I have to se a masqarate? let me tell you that i didn´t set any ip address to the ether1 on mikrotik

So what could be the next step?..

Setup a different IP address on ether 1. Make sure it is on a different, private subnet. Add a masq rule and if you want to setup DHCP you can do ip dhcp-server setup

Who is your ISP? CW, SI, Mobilnet, Wipet, Cableonda, Telecarrier?
Or is it a commercial one?

By the way, you are the only guy (besides myself) who I have ever seen posting from Panama here.

thanks for your help I was able to make the connection, the trick is for this type of connection you have to play with settings on the DHCP client settings… but for some reason i am not able to connect to other wireless free AP.

RK..

Thanks for your help to… well I am not the only Panamanian here, there is another and is my friend… but is good to know about you…

Thanks to all the involved people here for your help… case close…

You should be able to connect, using RouterOS, to any AP to which you can connect using Windows.
In any case, even if you can’t obtain an IP using DHCP, you can simply use static IPs.
