noobie here. I just got RB951G-2HnD router. I connected that router from the first port to my Airport extreme that is connected to Huawei HG8245H router. I can see the MikroTik with ip 192.168.178.29 in the Huaweis connected devices tab but I cannot access the MikroTik. Does it need to be connected directly to my pc in order to access it?

In the default configuration the first port (ether1) of your router is configured as a WAN port and does not accept any incoming connections except ping requests.
Ok, but when I connect the second port, I dont get the device in the device list.
Just try connecting to a default IP: 192.168.88.1
Not possible. No connection. Is it absolutely mandatory to connect RB to the pc/laptop in order to configure it?
Generally, for the initial configuration your PC/laptop and your Mikrotik router should be in the same broadcast domain, i.e. you should either connect your PC/laptop to Mikrotik directly (using cable or via WiFi) or through a switch.
