Connect to Print Server

Hi all.

I have a Vigor 120 modem serving a NAT’d address of 192.168.1.1 and is set to passthrough mode.

I have a RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN which has picked up the Vigor’s address and is connecting to the Internet quite nicely.

I want to access my Print Server however which has a fixed address of 192.168.0.1. The Router has the default address of 192.168.88.1/24

My problem is that I can’t work out how to either:
add a new subnet; or
alter the router to use the same subnet that the Print server is on.

Everything I do ends up with me having to reset the damn thing - I’m up to at least 40 times and it’s losing it’s fun.

Can anyone offer a suggestion?

Where is the print server connected? What are the print server network parameters?

There’s not much to the Print Server - it’s a TP-LINK TL-PS110P.

It’s capable od taking a static address in both the 192.168.0.0/24 or 10.0.0.0/24 address ranges. My problem is that when it loses power it resets to 192.168.0.1 and we get brown-outs on a regular basis.

Because of this, I am treating it to be static and unchangeable on that address and deal with it in RouterOS as I thought that would be easier…

As for where is it conencted?
It’s on port 2 which has the following metrics in the interface list:

RS
Name: ether2
Type: Ethernet
L2 MTU: 1598

I’d set that print server as DHCP client, once it gets its lease, go to IP > DHCP server, leases tab, double click on the print server entry, and make it static.

This way it will always get the same IP (from same 192.168.88.x or the network setup in the pool).

You could remove eth2 from all bridges, then go to ip > addresses and assign an address (192.168.0.2/24) to eth2. This would enable routing between the 2 subnets.

I guess it’s a problem with print-server - I had a similar tp-link print-server and eventually replaced it with dlink one. Any chance of replacing it?
Other than that - if you can use default settings then set one interface on router to that subnet and add route.
