Connecting 2 houses with internet connection wirelessy

Hello Everyone,

I have a question regarding following scenario:
I have 2 houses I want to connect with a wireless station. Each of them have an internet connection via local telcom provider. The houses have a clear line-of-sight and the distance is about 75-100 meters. The weakest point int the link is going to be a powerline connection, so it is no use to have an extreme high bandwidth (300 Mbps should be ok). I want to use this link for backup/File sharing to the other house as going through VPN only goes to about 20 Mbps.
What type of device would you recommend? (I was thinking of SXT 5 ac)
Is it possible to route between the 2 different networks? I only find info on configuring as wireless bridge, but that consists of only 1 router…

Regards,
Steven

Any of the 5GHz SXT’s would do the job - if you want more than 100Mbps make sure you choose one with a Gigabit ethernet interface.

You can configure them as a bridge or routers - that is the flexibility of Mikrotik

What about RBwAPG60-ad kit?

I would totally do the RBwAPG60-ad since its full duplex and you wont be making noise for your 5Ghz indoor WiFi.

This is exactly the kind of scenario this kit is for. For file sharing you want as much throughout as possible so yeah this is the best option here
