Connecting 2 routers - second router as SWITCH

Hello team,

i am working on a project and need your help.

i am going to buy CCR1016-12G to configure it as the main router.

i am going to configure VLANs, DHCP pools , firewall rules etc.

i need to buy a 24 port switch that will work with vlans tagging coming from CCR1016-12G.

can i use CRS125-24G-1S-RM as a SWITCH only? is there an alternative to CRS125-24G-1S-RM for switching only?

CRS as a VLAN aware switch. No problem. Here’s more on features of CRS:

But you won’t need all the features if you just using it as a switch.

Alternatives would be managed switches from HP, Cisco, etc…

any other opinion ? As i understand CCR1016-12G has 12Gbps which is good enough for the hotel i am going to configure.

if i use the CRS125-24G-1S-RM as a switch i only need to configure the ether1 as the link between the two routers and the CRS125-24G-1S-RM will act a s switch without any routing etc ?
