I just installed the Routerboard 52a. I wish to use it to connect my pc to public wireless hotspots that are out of range of my pc but that can be reached by the Routerboard 52a.
I was not able to find out how to configure the Mikrotik RouterBoard for this purpose using WinBox.
My hw setup is very simple: Routerboard 52a connected via ethernet to my pc. Public wireless networks are visible in WinBox - I selected one that I know is working well, winbox says it is connected but I cannot open a web session.
Help!
Create bridge interface and add WLAN and specific ethernet port that your pc connect to router then connect to specific ESS ID (SSID) then add Bridge port as DHCP client. Your pc must be access to hotspot login page.

Sorry, this is wrong.
station-bridge mode only works with MikroTik on the AP side as well - and this cannot be guaranteed on public networks.
Do not use bridges.
Configure your wireless interface as station, create a private subnet with DHCP server on the ethernet interface and create a masquerade rule.

Can someone give me an indication of the steps to be taken? Or a link to some instructions for each subtask?
Thanks!!!
