RB14eU has PCIe connector. How do you plan to connect it to the RB411 and why? It is a card for x86 machine
if I use this a MiniPCI Express to PCI Express Adapter?
RB411U doesn’t have PCIE pins connected to the mini-pcie slot - it has only USB pins connected.
mmmmm…
and if I connect the RB14eU to the USB of the RB411? can I do this?
I have try it and it’s also doesn’t work
If you can find a host PC where to put the RB14eu to get the power, then the USB cable from the RB14eU to the RB411 might work.
I have try this . connect the RB14eU to the RB411 with the USB connection
all I see is the green led is on , and I don’t see nothing on the USB
so what now ?
make a picture of this setup so we could see it.
sorry for the delay ,
here

you need to plug the RB14eU card into the PCI-E slot of the x86 box so it would get the 3.3V power to the mini-pcie slots.
But I can’t do this - there isn’t enough space there .
is there any way to insert it into rhe RB ,without braking it? I guess not -
so this why I got this part Flexible "MiniPCIe to MiniPCIe Riser "
I can see everything is working (I get all 4greed LEDs on) but I don’t see anythings on the port
so what now?
on the support you said
"you should look for transparent bridge. " -
I have ask you what does it mean , still didn’t get any answer (20.1.15) Ticket#2015010766000307
so what can I do now?
Thanks ,
Put the RB14eU into the x86 box and use an USB extension cable to connect the RB14eU to the RB411U.
But I can’t do this
How can I put the RB14eU into the RB411?

With extender?

I have an extender
not from this company - and it doesn’t work
is this extender work with mikrotik ?
I don´t know ![]()
OK, there are no Routerboard that will be able to power RB14eU, so you need x86 box for that, or some other way to power it.
When power is sorted Then when it is done you can connect USB cable RB14eU (that is still connected in x86) into the RB411.
But i suggest to just use x86 box for this solution ![]()
just to clarify, when people keep repeating “x86 machine” it means this:

this adapter was not meant to be used in the RouterBOARD device, or it’s miniPCI-e slot.
mmmmmmm…
I understand ,
but what if i will power it without the PC ? (x86)
if I connect the RB14eU into en external power source and then connect the USB to the RB411 USB ?
doesn’t it need to work?
the x86 only give the RB14eU power ,no?
no it will not work
