I have rb951ui-2hnd working well with wireless access list
I add a wireless repeater for extend range and add to rb951ui-2hnd wireless access lists
it connects and work fine but it accepts any device even its mac address is not listed in rb951ui-2hnd
wireless Access lists.
I want the devices which listed in rb951ui-2hnd wireless access list only to connects to repeater.
Please help
Wireless repeater doesn’t disclose it’s clients to AP, so AP can not control who connects to repeater and who not.
so it is not possible ??
No, each radio (AP and repeater) separately has to enforce ACLs … only if there’s some centralized management (in MT case that’s CAPsMAN) can rules be centrally managed, but this only works if all radios are centrally managed (and usually this means that they are made by same vendor). This is not the case in your particular use scenario.
