Can someone explain to me how I can take two mikrotiks in two different physical states in USA that are both on static IP t1 lines and connect them together so that they are on the exact same subnet and so that computer in Virginia can talk to computer in North Carolina as if they were in the same office?
I imagine this might be achieved thru some sort of tunnel to tunnel vpn connection. If so, how would I go about this?
if there is another better way, also how would I go about that?
I essentially want to use a domain controller server I have in virginia and let it control the user accounts in both states. I want everything to be on the same domain. I also want to setup the domain controller I have in north carolina to serve as a backup controller for both states.
I also want all desktops in north carolina to be able to access shared files on other desktops in virginia over “private ips” and windows network shares.
What are your thoughts on this scenereo? Thanks!
