I have several routers and I use a 1 to 1 NAT to have the CPU’s connected to the specific router always have the same address. (CPU’s have a basic IP installed for easy replacement.)
The NAT’d addresses are 10.0.0.249 and 10.0.0.254.
The router IP is 10.0.0.253.
Whenever I use Winbox it always displays the 10.0.0.249 address.
I can always modify the address in Winbox but every router has this issue with always displaying the lowest address and not the router’s IP.
Is there a way to force the router to not give out the NAT address as it’s own? Forcing it to one that always connects 10.0.0.253.
I know I can just click on the MAC but even the API returns the lowest IP and it’s not valid for connecting to the router.
Using RB493AH, RB493G and RB4011’s.
Currently using RouterOS 6.47.1
I have always had this issue but more of my associates are seeing this in our deployment and it’s not as simple as changing the addresses, too many units already deployed.
