clients seem to connect with my AP but i cant ping the AP its connected on both sides some with good signal strenght some with bad but many of them cant ping. what i noticed was that when i check for more details in the registration table under the last ip address field it the ip there is 0.0.0.0 where as those clients have ips
Are your clients devices and your AP on the same network? Try to put let’s say 192.168.0.1/24 on your AP and 192.168.0.2/24 on some of the connected client devices and then try to ping.
they are all on the same network already
I had this problem recently while trying to setup a new mikrotik router. My clients would connect and pull a dhcp address but could not ping. Eventually I found out that in my dhcp settings the broadcast address were all messed up. fixed that and all was fine.
