I am trying to connect my wireless printer and internet radio to wifi, it seems to connect for a second, but then it gets dropped immediately, when I check logs I see “Connection dropped due to WPS” messages. I can’t find anything on wiki about this.
In wifi security settings, WPS is set to “push button” what else needs to be done?
And “wps” must be unset or set to “push-button” on the AP interface you’d like to connect to.
And the client device you want to connect must have WPS support. Usually needs to be initiated by some WPS-setup routine.
PS: WPS should not be used anymore. It is seen as unsecure. So it should be “wps=disabled” on your AP.
WPS is actived via push-button as shown in screenshot above, pressing WPS Accept immediatly drops incoming connection, and reason given is that it was dropped ‘due to WPS’ whatever that means since it does not go into any details in log. I understand that WPS is not secure but there are devices that have no other way of connecting to the internet. Inputing a complex password into keyboard-less devices can also be very hard.
