I’ve seen this question asked before but have seen no solutions. I have a 2.9.24 RouterOS unit whose ethernet IP I can access no problem via SSH, WWW, FTP etc. but I can’t connect using Winbox on the same IP. I can connect using Winbox on it’s Wireless interfaces okay but not on its ethernet interface.
The Winbox loader is V2.2.8 freshly provided by the RouterOS itself. I’ve also tried clearing out the C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mikrotik\Winbox folder first a few times but it makes no difference. I can provide an SSH login if that would be of any use?
Thanks Cibernet, I was running 2.2.8 using a shortcut to a previous download. Anyway I’ve dowloaded Winbox again from the node and when I connected it downloaded the plugins but I still get the same error. I can still connect via wireless using Winbox 2.2.9 and 2.2.10 and I can still connect via web and SSH.
Thanks Equis, there are no proxies on (see below). When I try to connect, it looks initially like it will work but then refuses. Does anyone know exactly what situation will cause Winbox to display the message "Connection Refused"?
\

I assume so. I wouldn’t even know how to resrict this. I can connect to both wireless interfaces using Winbox. The problem only exists on the ethernet interface. I can connect to the ethernet interface using www and ssh.
