Connection Speed Help

Hi All!

I have two RB 751U 2HnD’s (Upgraded to the latest firmware).

I have them setup as wifi bridges (also in mesh mode, planning on expanding this with more on the way) - and am getting around 20-25mbits/sec TCP throughput according to iperf

On the interface status it shows them connecting at around 108mbits each way (sometimes one side bumping up 150Mbits). Taking away some IP and TCP overheads I should be getting better than 25mbits/sec shouldn’t I? I am wondering if I am missing something obvious.

RX/TX strength is showing at (-56/-37)
Noise floor is -118dbm
Tx CCQ is around 90-100% most of the time
I did a ‘fast as possible’ ping between two end points - results below:
— ping statistics —
10000 packets transmitted, 10000 received, 0% packet loss, time 17769ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 1.036/1.426/13.010/0.853 ms, pipe 2, ipg/ewma 1.777/1.437 ms

CPU usage peaks at 40% during a large transmission.

I’m happy to provide further details. Any hints or points would be fantastic.

Many thanks!

I’ve observed similar issues. See
http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/rb751u-wireless-performance/52917/1

I have a ticket open with Mikrotik, but so far have not solved the issue.

Thanks! I’ll keep an eye on the forum to see if something else comes up

Hopefully it is just an update required…

I’m in same situation.

I’m testing with RB433GL X 4 units.
Max throughput is 24Mbps.
All are set as AP Bridge, Dynamic Mesh, interface as mesh.

One of forum friend say, WDS is not supporting frame aggregations in 802.11n.

But I wish at least 50~60Mbps.
Anybody help me.

Hi everyone,

any news about this issue? I have the same problem with rb433ah and R52n-m as backhaul on 5ghz. Dynamic-mesh, AP Bridge configuration.
Can’t seem to get more than 30 mbps TCP with wireless registration showing >200 mbps for TX and RX. CCQ also 80-90%.
