Connection to local server failed - new install

I’m a linux novice and a Dude novice as well, so don’t crucify me.

But I finally got Wine and the MSTT fonts installed on my Fedora 10 server, after much trouble, and installed The Dude. Upon opening the Dude, I’m just getting a “Connection to local server failed” message at the bottom, and it keeps re-trying to connect. What do I need to do here?

I’ve installed The Dude on Windows servers before and never had this problem.

Please help.

Change it to use the real IP address instead of 127.0.0.1?
