Connection to local server failed

Dude is run as service on localhost (Win 2003)
The Dude Server service status is Stared and Startup Type is Automatic
but in Event viever > system I have got error:

The The Dude Server service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 2176 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 60000 milliseconds: Restart the service. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

and in Dude i have got
“Connection to local server failed”

it looks that problem is with dude service :frowning:

anyone know whay ?
How fix it without loosing data and maps ?

I have allredy tray restart The Dude Server service, restart computer, reinstall Dude

I shall be grateful for every help

Sorry no help, but a similar problem, at least the subject is perfect

I am not able to make a local connection to the Dude. If I choose a remote connection on the same PC (where also the Dude 3.3 is running as service) it works?! Two other clients are also connected at the same time via remote connection.

After I restart the service, the problem is gone. Local connection is possible again.

Any ideas?

but I am not able to make even a remote connection to the Dude from any computer :frowning:

If no solution :frowning:
the only way was uninstall and install Dude
and import old :frowning: backup

So boackup your Dude guys. Often

Can you trace it back to a software update or someone adding some new program to your Dude server?

It was working so when was the very first message of the 2176 times dude restarted?
Since the service restarted every minute for 2 thousand minutes you can guess it was about 35 hours ago?
But that was last week. Did you fix it?

You need to find what changed between the hour was working and that first hour it stopped working.
