Hi
Please has anyone logged into a routerboard through the serial port? I am trying to log into an RB450G using putty & Tera term without success. I confirmed my cable connection is working as I am able to successfully connect to other manufacturers hardware. I am using 115200 speed 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit and none flow control for the mikrotik.

Many many many times yes. But not a RB450G.

Make sure that you haven’t disabled it under /port och /system/console

Using compatible cables is also important.

My combo is: Trendnet TU-S9 + TrippLite P450-006.
Software: Xshell Personal Edition (free).
