Container from the new App features is not starting

I used to have home assistant container on my RB5009. It was working flawlessly after some investigation.

Now I try to install it from the new ROS feature apps. It seams like it installed but it keeps looping “starting“.

From the log I can see that the process is killed for the memory.

app-home-assistant: exited with signal 9 (Killed)

Any ideas how to fix it?

  1. Remove the IP from the host: Go to /ip/address and remove the container’s IP address entry. The router must NOT claim this IP for itself.
  2. Assign via VETH only: Go to /interface/veth and set the Address and Gateway there. This "pushes" the IP into the container without the host trying to own it.
  3. Add VETH to LAN: Ensure the veth interface is a member of your LAN Interface List so it isn't blocked by the default firewall.
  4. Flush ARP: On your computer, clear the ARP cache (e.g., sudo arp -d <container_ip>) so it relearns the container's actual MAC address
