Is it possible to user RB2011 and user-manager to provide user based access control using a third party AP?

As long as that 3d party AP supports radius, it should be possible AFAIK.

That is what I thought, but I can’t seem to get it configured correctly. How do I direct it to a login page for the user-manager?

I’d start implementing it without user-manager (by using local users in hotspot) until you get a grip on how does everything get integrated.

No special spetup is needed on the AP, just set in without security, then add the ethernet port it connects to to the hotspot.
