I have a device (a mobile phone) on my LAN which changes its MAC address frequently. The problem is that I cannot set any rules on this device via Mikrotik since the router believes that this is a new device and so it assigns it a new ip address. I am managing to block internet access on this device but the rule no longer works when the device changes the MAC address. Can you give me some tips on how to go about this please? thanks
With device changing its identity (MAC address) there’s no way you could do anything that involves that identity.
Here’s an idea: have special SSID and corresponding LAN for that device only. Then filter whatever you want for the whole subnet.
